LED lights
I just bought a 2002 C5 and want to upgrade my lights to LEDs. I am worried about the turn light, parking light housing cracking due to the heat from the LEDs when water comes into contact. Looking for any ideas about changing the entire housing or if I am being overly cautious. I have the iBrightstar 3157. Sorry if this is the wrong thread.

I don't think that will be a problem since the DRL / turn signal housing sits below the headlight housing. The bigger problem is making sure the LED bulb will draw 55 watts, which will match the low beam halogen bulb. For that to happen, the LEDs will need to come with load resistors. Mine have them and work well. If you don't have load resistors, the headlight doors will not close. I know some people will leave the high beam bulbs as halogen, then switch on their brights before turning off the lights. That will work if you get low beam LEDs without resistors. By the way, my low beam bulbs have resistors that are remote mounted. I had to be careful not to mount them near plastic because they get hot. I siliconed mine to the frame and made sure they cleared the doors when the doors opened/closed.
