The engine was designed for 5W30 - stay with 5W30. I'd use any oil that's SN+ API rated. The API ratings are the only thing that matters. Everything else is marketing BS. Go get the O'Reily's house brand full synthetic, it meets spec

God how many times does this come up. I don't understand why you need to change oil weight. please explain that?? i had a car over 350k miles and used the same oil its whole life. I had to stop driving it because the frame cracked in the center of the car. And my car know has 268k with the same oil. Im sorry, this is just over and over and over.................................... .. Dont get. Its probly an internet thing where someone says its better. And you can trust the net 100?.

For the overwhelming majority, those casually or spiritedly driving an unmodified engine, it is pretty unnecessary. But there are legitimate reasons changing oil weight, they just don't apply to most, and maybe that's what gives people the idea.
