I’ll install a lmc5 next week now that I can’t drive my car due to the steering lock issue I want to do the brown wire mod and thinking of removing the column lock relay while I’m there. Is that correct? TIA
I'm not sure about removing the relay, however, before messing with anything I would install the module without the brown wire mod as you might not need it. Many cars do not, mine included, and operate as expected.

removing the column lock relay is part of lmc5 installation instructions that’s why I asked
If you encounter problems with the LMC5 installation, you can always call Richatd at Compliance Auto parts, have heard nothing but praise about superior customer support .
Installed one of these recently. Follow the directions to the letter and I doubt you'll have issues.
Instructions say to disconnect the relay, but you can leave it in the car and tuck the connecter away. That's what I did in case there's ever future trouble I can revert back to factory in a pinch.
Agree with poster above...do not do the brown wire mod unless necessary.
