Default Check Engine light failed Emissions

Hello another question I have a 2002 Vette with a Corsa Exhaust Headers to muffler.I bought my car in 2019 this system was on the car it passed in 2020 and 2022 but not this year I cleared codes in the past and the car passed not this time. Mechanics are saying car needs to get retuned that when whoever installed this system they didn’t do what they needed to do. Anyway I have an appt with a shop to do this. Did any of you guys have this same issue in the past and did retuning the car rectify the problem? Thanks!!

What are the codes. It's all just a guess at this point without it or them.

The codes are P1133 and P1153 all (4) O2 sensors have been replaced I have been told because of the headers being long and the different position of the O2 sensors from stock that is why the computer is picking up that something is wrong because their not where they are supposed to be in the chain.

Ok I think you are on the right track. I think the car just needs to be properly tuned by a competent tuner.

Yes, longtubes do cause a lot of O2 codes and it is normal. Those associated codes are normally disabled.

Was you check engine light on when you attempted to get the testing done?

Having the rear O2 sensors tuned out removes half the potential problems. Sometimes adding an O2 spacer stops the error codes by slightly moving the sensor out of the airflow, they're cheap at most auto stores.
