I have an 04 C5 kinda baffled if anyone could point in the right direction. Mirror lights work as should footwear and cargo lights all good. But no vanity underhood or glove box light.Hmmm. I pulled fuse 2 last night and checked looked ok. Bulb in underhood light looks new. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
With the hood open look for a wire that hangs down at the front of the hood on the passenger side. It has a connector about 18 inches down. Check to see if it is connected. Lots of owners disconnect it so that the light stays off when working under the hood. That way it doesn't kill the battery.

Do you know how to read a wiring diagram ??…do you have a 12 volt test light and know how to check a relay with it ??…looking at a fuse doesn’t mean you have power going to it…I’d look at Relay 37 in the IP Fusebox….you could swap out the relay and see if all 3 of those lights work…you could also jumper the load side of the relay and also see if the lights work…it could also be the control side of the relay not energizing the load side…that would be the Monitored LD Relay control circuit from the BCM.

I do have a test light I think I will try a new relay and see if that works. If no go there chase further. Thanks for your insight really appreciated it. Brian

I tried a new no 37 relay tonight unfortunately didn't get anything. Do you know if the interior lights are all running to the same ground? I am not the best at reading schematics. Would love to see it its a bad group. Thanks Brian
There are 2 separate grounds for all 3 of those lights so that’s not it…if you have a test light see if the test light illuminates on each test point of fuse 2…test light should illuminate on both test points on top of the fuse…beyond this I don’t know if you want to check the relay…2 of the relay terminals should light when testing as you can see is “hot at all times”…beyond this I don’t know how much more of this circuit you want to test or bring the car to an auto electric shop…worst case you have a bad BCM…unfortunately not all electrical issues are a blown fuse…one needs to have some basic electrical knowledge.

OK I will check that with test light. Will probably try and find a good electric shop if that's even possible in this enlightened age LOL thanks again for your help.

If it is a bad BCM is there a good place to purchase that you are aware of?
