Default climate control replacement support.

as in most C5's at one point the climate control unit takes a crap and all the expert say to resolder 8 contact points and it will cure all your problems so I did that BUT either the guy i had do it didn't do a good job or something i don't know i do know that it did not cure the problem so I bit the bullet and bought one from USDASHWORKS and installed it and it doesn't work either however, it does things my old one does not. on my old one the lights on the selector buttons were lit with the dash lights but nothing else. on the new one those lights are not on But the lights for the temp dial does. now i will be the first to admit i am not the sharpest tool in the shed so iI am asking is there something I am doing wrong? is this not just an unplug and plug in replacement? please HELP!!! i have had 7 C5's and this is the first one with this issue.

Your best option is to send your HVAC unit to a reputable rebuilder, all it takes is a internet search

The climate control module is a plug and play replacment, there is nothing you can do wrong that can cause the module not to work. The original module was not repaired correctly and the second module has something wrong with it. My advice buy a third one or send the original for repairs, have seen good reviews for ABS FIXERS

okay, so i just got of the phone with the folks at USDASHWORKS and they will rebuild another and send it out. they dont l have any sitting around they build as needed. they are not charging me for the replacement and not giving me grief about installation. seem to be real nice to work with. i will respond with the results in about wekk or so. thanks for your input.

Where are you located? Someone local to you might have a spare to swap in for a test.

Your not missing anything, the rebuilder is simply not testing all the features, I would send your orginal module to somebody else .
