Default Need help with part #s

Can someone please tell me what these parts #s are for and their part description?

10203575 - Deflector (quantity of 2)
10203576 - Retainer (quantity of 2)

I wrecked my car and the bumper needed to be replaced.. and I told them that I had an aftermarket air-intake installed on the car (Vararam) and that it would need to be removed to get the bumper off..

Well - they did remove it and I had them just put the OEM back on so I could inspect the Vararam personally before "I" put it back on. Now the dealership/parts shop wants an extra hour in labor (65.00 – despite being paid by the insurance company already for the removal and replacement) for the OEM Intake installation and 36.00 in parts that had to be replaced due to the Vararam damaging them (so they say).

I have no idea what these parts are for and cannot find them within "my manual" but mine is old (97-00) and would like to be educated before I go in tomorrow denying the parts or accepting the charges as being legitimate.

Thanks for any help,

Brent; Well you gave me a tough one... The part #'s are wrong that you posted. Correct #'s are 1028375 /376. RT/ LT sides. If you look in the front on the lower facia you will see the two air inlets for your front brake ducts. Those part #'s are what holds the air duct in place, it's the rippled piece of plastic in the front part of the duct. I hope this helps you. If you damaged the front and they had to remove your bumper they may have needed replacement. Good luck....

Thank you very much for the help Bill!

I cant see any correlation of these parts with my aftermarket intake :mad - hence I will have a word with them in the morning. Also the car is being repaired at the cost of the other party's insurance co. Hence there was no reason for them to ask me to pay for these items. I guess they thought they could just get the "Corvette" owner to pay the extra 100 bucks instead of having to write up a supplement.

Your welcome Brent, good luck tomorrow. Those air ducts have NOTHING to do with your Vararam, there brake duct vents.. :smash: Glad I could help... Bill

OK, had a look on my list. I read # 10283575 and 10283576. These are NOT the brake ducts, these are the parts behind the Z06 screens, where the foglights are located. The ones that are normally closed, but opened by members to let air in for the filter. It´s the opening where the vararam mounts to.
If you had the vararam on the car and told them to put the car back to OEM without vararam, they need these two parts to close the opening. So it´s OK IMO.

Let me know if I´m wrong.

Fredeick I looked again and I think you're correct. It's hard to see, my copy is not the best. If it is the back part where the fog lights are I guess you do need them to make it stock again. Sorry for the confusion.... :(

Thanks for your help Frederik, however the Z06s do not come with the plastic pieces in the foglight areas as they have no foglights either - they just have the "Foglight Grills".
