2003Z. Should I assume that the EBCM needs repaired or replaced, or is this code ever caused by something else?

Assuming it needs repaired, is absfixer the place to go?

Thanks,
Mike

Low battery can cause it too. But if it is the ECBM it will come back.

Inhad it a year ago but my car had sat for a while snd batter voltage was down. Charged the battery and good since.

Thanks, I’ll check the battery to rule that out.

I re-soldered the EBCM myself. The biggest part of the job for me was removing the EBCM. If you plan on doing it yourself, be sure to clean the motherboard so it is squeaky clean.

Default I added this to another thread, exercising the system...

Find a wet parking area or private area, kick it and spin the rear tires- straight, and with the steering wheel turned. This will kick in the T/C & AH. Then break it hard and the ABS should com on... I do my 01 about ounce a month,, great way to exercise the systems..Fun tooo..
