As an owner of a 2000 coupe I have the dreaded traction control light on my dash. My question is even though because of the year of the car the EBCM can not be repaired so other then finding a good one from a junkyard or on the internet. By accident I found a company called G7computers that specializes in automotive computer repairs. So has anyone heard or used this company?
The traction control light can be many things. Do you have the codes?
I just spent an hour or so cleaning and swapping my ABS wires in my front hubs. They had been triggering traction control lights for the last couple of months. Every time I hit a bump. Could be as simple as that.
I also spent a few moments exercising the ABS pump by picking up the back wheels and letting the ABS system kick in when the wheels spin over 8-10 mph.
Now that the cold weather is here your battery could be getting weak. The ABS system exercises itself during startup and if the battery can't handle starting, heating, A/C, ABS cycling and the radio all at once it pops a code and you get lights on the dash. How old is your battery?

Find a wet parking area or private area, kick it and spin the rear tires- straight, and with the steering wheel turned. This will kick in the T/C & AH. Then break it hard and the ABS should com on... I do my 01 about ounce a month or when I get the chance,, A great way to exercise the systems..Fun tooo..
