Default Climate control doesn’t keep cabin warm.

Please forgive me, I have been lurking for years and have found most all of the information I’ve needed to repair my C5 .
i have resoldered the resistors and a few other connections that looked cold , and replaced all of the bulbs on my car’s climate control, and fixed most all of the issues with it.
How ever I still have one very annoying problem. When trying to keep the cabin warm in low outside temperatures , I can set the temperature to 68* and be comfortable. After 15 minutes or so it’s freezing in the car , and I adjust up 2 to 4 degrees and it gets warm for about another 15 minutes.
I keep on like this for my hour and a half commute, and have the temperature set at nearly 90* by the time the trip ends . It stays hot if set to 90* . At least I assume it does , it’s too hot even with windows open and a/c on .
i have searched for a similar anyone reporting a similar issue and haven’t found anything.
can anybody offer any solutions?

Might need to check the blend doors and see if they are working.

Make sure the anti freeze is topped off.

Make sure the thermostat is working
Check to see you have flow in the heater core. If someone dumped stop leak in they will clog up.

Blend doors work perfectly, coolant is good .

I suspect it’s something to do with the cabin temperature sensor or the control panel.

As I said it will run you out when set to 90*
, which I believe is the override setting for heat .
As 60* is the override setting for cooling.

Change what ?
I repair things if possible.

I’m asking if anyone else has had this issue,
or repaired this issue????

I’ll try tomorrow to see is the scan tool can see the data in the climate control.

Does it do this in auto and manual operation?

I rarely use Auto, I don’t know. I’m getting ready to go for a ride. I’ll try and let you know.

ok so 45 minutes to where I had dinner tonight.
I used Auto mode setting on climate control.
the temp set at 70* , its 32* outside .
no air for the first 3 minutes, then when the engine temp came up , the climate control turned the fan up 3/4 way and the cabin warmed up .
15 minutes later no , or very little fan speed and cool air from vents , and cabin gets cold .
turned up temp 2* to 72* and fan jumps up in speed and cabin warms . Repeated this two more times on the way to dinner .
So….. it does the same thing in both manual and auto mode .

There is a temp sensor by the ignition.
