I was going to replace my alternator with an ACDELCO OEM 110 amps as part of my idler pulley, tensioner, etc. replacements when I noticed that I currently have a 230 amps alternator. I’ve only had the car 3 months and to the best of my knowledge it’s stock with the exception of a K&N CAI, magna flow catback exhaust, and an ATI harmonic balancer. That being said, it seems like everytime I start a new project I find something else that I wasn’t expecting.
Any idea why someone would put this on and if there are any issues I will induce by transitioning back to the stock alternator? Would the wiring be different than stock with this setup?
