Default Dash Cam Install

I've installed a Garmin Dash Cam and their Parking Mode wiring which requires connecting to both accessory power and switched power. Using fuse taps, I plugged into Fuse 5 (Radio/CD Player) for switched power and Fuse 30 (Right Door Control Module) for accessory power. When I shut off the car power, the camera remains on and actively recording. Any suggestions for better fuse tap locations? BTW, the Ground Wire is hard wired to an existing Ground Wire.

Yes. There are provisions for exactly that purpose located just above and to the left of the BCM. Usually wiring is taped/stowed if not previously purposed. Orange - hot at all times, Yellow - Switched, Black -Ground.

OK, thanks! I saw wires that looked like those just below the carpet in the footwell terminating in a 3 pin plug just hanging there. Looks like I can just cut off the plug and tap into these. Funny, that is the ground wire I've hooked into already!

NO. The plug is part of the wiring. Just disconnect the plug from the receptacle, splice into the pigtail, and plug it back in.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, the plug I was referring to was at the terminating end of the wires, well down into the footwell. I completely missed those wires by the BCM. Thanks again and I will NOT cut the main plug wires!!
