2004 issue

Is this something to worry about? Just came on today. Car drives fine, couldn't feel any difference. The service engine display comes on too but I can hit reset and it goes away.

Likely has a wheel speed sensor bad or dirty.
And, obviously will interfere with the ABS and Traction Control systems operation.

Start your phone recording video and record all the codes.

You don't have traction control or anti-lock brakes while those lights are on. Could be an easy fix or could be an EBCM issue. The codes are your starting point.
It is 'safe' to drive for some definition of safe. The car is driveable and will not cause further damage.

...then described what happened. Sometimes the buttons have to be pressed harder if not frequently used.

I was able to get into manual diagnostics. I'll post the codes later when I can write them all down.
