Belt tensioner bracket
Hey guys need some help. I was swapping out my cam in my 98 and was putting it all back together when I went to install the belt tensioner the bracket that the bolt goes into is stripped. And suggestions on how to fix it?

The tensioner bolts to the water pump which is what has the threads in it.
Or are you talking about the hole in the tensioner for the pulley itself?
If it's the water pump holes you either need to helicoil the ears or buy a new water pump.
If it is the tensioner arm hole for the pulley you need to just buy a new tensioner. They are cheap and available.

You could probably helicoil the AC compressor bracket.
It may be easier to just get another.
There are several of them on ebay right now for 100 to 150 bucks.
