Default Decoupler pulley good or bad?

So I have this constant belt squeal while running. I ordered a new decoupler pulley because that is where I pretty much traced the sound to. I even sprayed it a little bit while the engine was running to see if the sound changed and it did. Is there any way to figure out if this pulley is actually bad or the belt was just slipping at that point? The reason I ask is looking at it that does not seem to be anything wrong with it there's no play whatsoever. Is it possible that that is where the belt was slipping? I'm installing a new belt but wanted to see if anybody had any thoughts before I started removing this pulley. Thanks for the help

Okay so I guess this was a wasted post. Change the belt squeal is gone. Just for a dumb question why specifically on that pulley was the sound.

I guess it's unfortunate I waited for a part I didn't need

So you changed the belt and the noise is gone? Belt is always the first culprit. Could just be the pulley size, alignment, or speed.

Yes soon as I change the belt the sound was gone. Unfortunately I bought the pulley already so now I have to return it. Seems to be working.
