Default Proper way to fix the C1295 code

I have a friend getting this code C1295 after LED install .
The C1295 is caused by the EBCTM not getting between 1.8- 5.0 volt because LED has way less internal resistanse then the original high stop lamp.
I think by including a resistor ( 6 ohm 50w) like this downstream the lamp (green mark) will cure my friends C1295 alarm .

Am I correct ?

What is the measured voltage at the EBCM connector contact #6 with the brake pedal depressed?

I do not know. He is far away from me so am I not able to help him with any measurement.

But the Ebctm feed 5 volt to the high brake light when the brake pedal is not depressed.
And I guess a high brake lamp of LED will drop the 5 volt lower than 1.8 volt.

How does /where does other people with C1295 code add this resistor 😊
