Driver side suspension noise

Not having much luck with my vette. You'll see another thread I posted discussing getting the car back today. On the same drive home, I started noticing a loud clanking/metallic type noise front what sounds like the front wheel/suspension area. Seems to occur only when hitting bumps/uneven surfaces. Moving wheel back and forth while idling also creates the noise but not as loud. Any ideas on wear to start - my initial research seems to indicate sway bar links or ball joints.

High mile car?
Possibly control arm bushings.

Since it makes the noise when sitting and turning the wheel back and forth, get someone to do that while you watch under it and watch for movement that shouldn't be.

Sounds to me like you need a look and replace some key parts with suspension geometry... Those parts don't last forever... New parts no big deal. Just do it.
