Power steering leak in front.
I started hearing some whining. Noticed the reservoir was low. Put more in and started the car. I couldn't see exactly where but it looked like it was coming from the front. Is the hose coming out the front the high pressure one or the cheap return?

The high pressure hose is inboard of the pulley and just behind the pulley. You will need a crow's foot and an extension to get to that end. The other end is on the steering rack, accessible through the left front wheel well or from above.
