Default c5 with modern radio

I replace my standard radio (with cassette player) with a modern JVC KW-M785DWB 2-DIN radio recently so I have a car kit and car play available in this 1999 daily driver. I couldn't yet it all working using a Axxess AXDI-VET1 cable. The front speakers did not work with this cable and the AX-ADCT4 box didn't seem to do something (when I changed the gain potention meters nothing happened or changed sound volume wise).

Eventually I bought a standard Chevy to ISO conversion cable as printed below enabling sound from all four speakers. So far so good....

Nevertheless I'm not satisfied with the sound quality. There seems to be only mid frequency played by the speakers. The absence of low and high frequency is noticable and I can not get it sound nice using the car radio equelizer.

Does this all sound familiar to anyone of you? Does anyone know why no low and high frequencies are properly played?

BTW: my actuator voltage was only 6V so I had to make a tweak to up this to the required 12v (both using the Axxess module and using the standard Chevy cable) to enable to wake upo the radio at all...
