1997 heater blower will not come on at any setting, checked fuse its ok, any thing else in the system that can go bad or more then likely the blower motor? had to clean out a mouse nest a couple of years ago, but it worked ok after. can I just unhook the blower connection and connect to 12 volt source to see if it will run? I have the dual electronic system
You could apply 12 volts to the red wire and see if the blower runs at high speed (12 volts)…it is PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) so the voltage as you can read in the description varies from 4-12 volts…if blower motor operates you will need to check the wiring.
got a new module and blower motor(came as a set), but the hole for the cooling hose in the blower motor housing is too big for the cooling hose, is there a grommet to make it fit? also there are 3 screws that hold the control module on, 2 are easy but the back one is hard to get to, so removed the 2 I could reach and out came the module. No third screw, looks like someone else decided it was too much work to reinstall it. So I lucked out !!

Yup, that is consistent with the new china replacements. Did the mount holes actually line up, and is the squirrel cage the same size. Below is my final attempt to get a blower from a local parts store. OEM on the left, crap replacement on the right.
I returned it it. The mount holes do not line up, the tube to route air to the blower motor does not line up/fit, and the smaller squrirrel cage will move a fraction of the air.
