Yes! Another Amazon Seat Question...
I gutted my car and added sound / heat mitigation. Part of the project is to replace the seats with the popular Amazon 'Racing Seats'. I bought them (RS-JBR-PVC-S03-G2-Y) and the DNA bracket (SBK-LM-CCV97C5)
Here's my questions for those who have done this swap.....
- The Pass side bracket is higher than the Driver side. It seems to be that way to clear the Yaw Sensor next to the tunnel - however, It sits right on top of it and there's 3/4" under the foot where it mounts to the floor. If I put a spacer under that front mount I have zero threads left on the stud coming out of the floor. If I force it to fit it will CRUSH the sensor and put an arc in the top of the bracket - the slider won't work. Forcing is never a good option. How did YOU handle getting around the sensor? Different bracket? Home Made? I can't continue til I solve this. That sensor is important and I respect it.
- My car - 03 Z06 - has power driver seat with memory (No Tilt / Tele Wheel). What parts of that system do I need to R&R in order to have... No power drain, No Seat Belt light on the dash and decent functionality - I only need the minimum. The Driver Side bracket is much flatter than the Pass Side (Sensor clearance, apparently). I've looked at the inner workings of the motors on that seat and can't imagine swapping all that over to the China Seat - I'm 6'3" and keep it all the way back all the time.
-I've read EVERY post and watched EVERY YT video on this. It is a nice upgrade to modernize - yes, they are VERY tight and might not be worth the effort . I want Comp seats because I have a Harness Bar but cannot afford C7 comps (>$4K). I actually saw a set of C8 Comp Seats for $10K! Used seats for $10K JEEZUS!!
-Which side of the bracket did you use factory holes and which side did you drill?
-Ideally, adding C6 belts would make this easier and I may look into that but my main problem is the Pass Side Bracket.
I know this subject has been talked about for EVER but I haven't seen anything about the Yaw Sensor.
Thanks for any help here!!
