Default Sway Bar question

Wanting to upgrade the suspension on my 2K base C5 I picked up a set of C6 Z51 bars, however it seems what I got were a set of Z06 bars with the front OD at 31mm and the rear OD at 28mm as indicated on the bushing collars. While I do play on the track on occasion this is 99% street driven with a 305/30-19 TW320 rear tire, and a 265/35-18 up front. A bit of research indicates this may be too stiff a bar, instant oversteer is not fun I already know. I know this is a popular upgrade, would the smaller bar 25.4mm Z51 bar be recommended as I originally wanted or would the current 28mm bar work with stock vs poly bushings? I am also currently running C6 Z06 shocks. TIA

305mm or smaller rear tire = the smaller Z51 rear bar.

^^ Most of my passengers would say YES. And I would have to agree.

Ok. Most owners cannot take full advantage of a base suspension on the street, let alone a profound upgrade that will precipitate "instant oversteer" condition.

I road raced motorcycles for years, years ago. That competitive "demon" comes out on most all curves unless traffic and road conditions dictate otherwise. When I took my car to my local road course (Waterford Hills in Detroit area) it seemed I was going to be sea sick at how much body roll my car had. That being said I am on the hunt for a Z51 rear bar, they seem to be somewhat a rarity.
