Yesterday I read an article in the vette mag rating it as the "best bang for the buck" but warning to use it on dry weather. Check it out, it really seems to be a good investment.
Saludos,
I have had the Vararam installed for 2 months now and am not looking to go back to the K & N FIPK. I need to get off my lazy rear and dyno the car to see if it helped any. Go for it you'll love it.

I have a Vortex Rammer, but know others with Vararam. They all love theirs, and ALL cold air systems work on C5's. The dyno may not show all the increase, because the car is stationary. The track is the best proof.
Yea, I am told that the newest version is cut slightly shorter so that it just "pops right in" compared to the first version. I am sure it doesn't go together that easy, but whats an adventure, and nothing a 12-pack can't cure. Thanks for your advise.
I am going to try to find a dyno in the southern WI area and have it run before and after, but I am not concerned just about dyno as I am about the feel of it. Obviously, WOT is quite exciting on a stock C5, let alone the addition of something that feels like a supercharger. I can't wait.
I am now depressed since we just got hit with 3 or 4 inches of snow, so I can't even play a little right now. Hell, we have had almost no snow all winter. It puts me in a depressing state of mind. The temperature indicators that I see occasionally on posts make me jealous !!!!!!!
I was number 323 on the original list of buyers and I have been extremely happy with my Vararam system. I have experienced varying durations and intensities of rain storms and have not had a problem, yet. Like you, I still have my reservations and I hope they are not founded in fact. I have driven 300-400 miles of freeway driving in the rain with no problems. My advice is to stay out of the deep puddles and don't try to ford any deep water. Good luck.
