Default BCM Question

I know this has been asked 1000 times but I feel like I’m close to figuring out my problems.

My multimeter is showing .27 draw on my battery when it’s asleep. I also had the driver door lock that would intermittently lock when I used the fob. I’ve determined that the door module needs to be repaired so I ordered a replacement. With the door module removed, I’m still showing the .27 draw on the battery so I’m ruling that module as the issue.

is there a chance the BCM itself needs to be repaired/replaced? I did notice I had a false read for tire pressure today also so it makes me think the BCM is just bad.

any insight will help.

Default Update

I pulled every fuse for the BCM, then pulled for Bose speakers, then just tried pulling a few random fuses. I even disconnected the BCM and it never budged. Still showing a .27. Does this tell me anything now that I can rule out that it’s the BCM?

.27 what ??…amps or milliamps ??….pulling fuses is not the best way to check for a parasitic drain…watch the videos.

You have to first isolate the current drain source to the engine fuse or interior fuse box. The first step thou is to disconnect the two cables on the engine fuse box you can access by removing the fuse box cover. One cable is the supply cable the other is the feed to the interior fuse box, check the current drain if excessive then that means your alternator is at fault. If alternator is not causing current drain then proceed with voltage drop measurement at engine fuse box with interior fuse box left disconnected.

Default Tonight’s Update - Fuse #4

I followed the YouTube videos and that method was perfect!!! I am able to identify that I believe the problem is Fuse #4 in the passenger side box.

My diagram says “SMC-I” but everywhere online says it’s the driver seat control module.

My question is, is this easy to repair/replace or should I just remove the fuse and live without having control of the seat?

Not sure what you are seeing, but every schematic and fuse box cover shows the same " SCM L (10A)" .....left seat control module.

Sure, if you don't care to have control over your seat, just leave it alone.

Does the draw go away when the seat connector is unplugged?

The current draw should go away if the seat control module is the source of excessive current drain.
