Default Headers question

Hi. I was thinking about possibly putting headers on my '03 coupe which already has a ZO6 airbox cover, K&N filter, and B&B PRTs. I have three questions regarding this:

1. Approx. how much HP increase would I see with headers going to my stock converters and then to my PRTs?

2.How do headers affect the warranty?

3.What are the best headers to get that will bolt right on to the stock converters?

Thanks.

Okay, answers in order to your questions:

1. 15 to 20 RWHP if you LS1 Edit tune the car after the install.
2. Absolutely no affect to your warranty. I asked GM and have been advised that the headers do not affect the OEM or extended warranty. The answer is a lot more wordy than that, but basically - no worries.
3. Good luck! No one makes a header that will bolt up to your factory cats. TPIS makes a good simple install long tube header. FLP probably makes the easiest to install bolt on kit that you may want to look at. A good setup for sure. I have SLP headers - DO NOT GO THAT ROUTE!!!! They are a major PIA to install. Great low end torque though :D

With any long tube header you are going to have to modify your cat hookup to some extent depending on whose header you purchase. Figure on spending somewhere between $800 and $2300 for the headers plus another $300-$500 if you have a shop install them. Headers are easy to install but just about everyone (other than FLP) will need to be welded at the collector.

Good luck. SAVE THE WAVE :seeya

depending on the brand you may expect to see 10 - 15 rwhp, not as big of jump on torque, however, the torque power will peak at lower rpms and be consistent higher all the way through power band. as for warranty, they can't void entirely it, but consider the warranty on O2 sensors and catalytic converters extinct. the only issue you will run into is if you go with long tubes that you risk not passing inspection, cause you will remove a set of catalytic converters. now you will have the main cats, and can pass, however if there is a visual inspection you may fail. not a huge deal, just go to those special places for inspection. ;)
