Manual transmission mods
If you are smooth on the pedal and shifter then you'll be ok once you get a new one in there. Often you can sell what you have as long as it still works for a few bucks and buy a new used one also.
For drifting.... the ECS brace seems a wise way to hedge your bets. And an aftermarket trans mount would also be wise. Later on with more power or money a diff or trans cooler might be beneficial but not so much when starting out mostly due to the expense. Again, if smooth then you wouldn't have much to worry about, but you might consider a fresh torque tube rebuild or to ensure you upgrade to a 12mm if you have the 10mm design. The rubber guibos in there are amazingly durable..... yet if the car is for sport only at some point you may want a couplerless drive shaft all-aluminum.... because it sucks having the take half the car apart when you do wear those rubber guibos out.
Absolutely get a remote clutch bleeder while you're in there. If you're picky, when the trans is out is also the time to get a TMODcustoms linkage mod. And tub.
