Convertible Rear Window Reattachment
I have read previous threads on the process for the reattachment of the the rear window to the convertible top. Mine is a 2002. There is a black metal frame to which the window is glued and then it appears that the metal frame is glued to the cloth top. It appears to me that reattachment would first require gluing the metal frame, which is now separated from the window, back to the window and then gluing the entire unit to the fabric of the top. A two-step process. Yet my impression in reviewing previous descriptions in the forum, and on Utube, is that they were all done in a one-step gluing process. This is a bit confusing. Any guidance in this regards? Thanks.

Some have just replaced the entire top when the glass has separated. Since I could not justify replacing a perfectly good Vert top, I search the Forum/web for glue others have used for reattaching the glass to the frame. I used 3M WINDOW-WELD #08609. Still attached after 2 years.
