Unable to pull codes out...Ideas?

Unable to pull codes out...Ideas?
My car tripped another check engine light and I following these steps which have worked in the past:
Turn on the ignition
but don't start the engine.
Press the "reset"
button to turn off any warning messages
Press and hold
"options" and
While holding "options",
press "fuel" four times within a 10-Second period.
Tried it again tonight and the DIC just says Configure Options. Never goes into diagnostic mode. Ignition was on but motor not running. There were no codes to reset. Hit reset anyways then held Options down and depressed throttle down all the way 4 times letting it come all the way out between. Still no codes or diagnostic mode.

Also note that when you did that, (pressed the gas pedal 3 times with the ignition on) you reset your oil life remaining to 100%.
