My 1998 convertible came with the F45 adjustable ride option back when I bought it new. Many years later after hitting 36k miles I upgraded the suspension with different sway bars, springs, Z06 shocks, etc., and found a guy with a Tech-2 scanner to delete the F45 programming.
Is there a way I can do any sort of bench-testing on the shocks to see if they're still good? I don't recall having any ride issues or codes prior to removing them and they've been sitting in a box even since. My ultimate goal is to offer the shocks up for sale and start cleaning out the rest of the odds and ends accumulated in my garage over the past 25+ years, but I don't want to hand off any bad parts and cause that kind of headache.
I had F45 on my '99 and don't recall seeing a formal testing procedure, other than a "seat of the pants" test. I would put them up for sale as-is, if they aren't leaking, someone will grab them.
If you decide to put them up for just tell the “history” on them as you did in your post. Sell “as is” as stated above and you should be fine, although some people can be completely idiotic. Good luck.
