Default FLP Level IV reliability

As some of you may have seen from the posts, I'm trying to sell my C5. It's a VERY powerful car and has the FLP Level IV plus the Breathless output shafts. A potential buyer asked about the reliability on the drag strip. I've read nothing but compliments on this forum, but would be interested in other people's thoughts so I could give him a better answer.

Thanks!

Tom

Mine is being installed right now :D ALong with a BIG CUBE motor :D I have NEVER heard anything bad about the FLP Level IV tranny! Quite simply the best tranny out there.

There are some guys running BIG power through this tranny including HUGE shots of nitrous.....up to 800HP ++

Have you looked at teacher's salaries lately? I make less than I made as a computer operator in 1982. Worse, my annual salary is less than my previous monthly salary.

But, I like it and it makes a difference for the kids.

You mean the one that is behind the car -- the one that is for sale?

Can't keep it either.

Sorry, that you need to sell the Vette, but I may decide the same, if I were you.

On the tranny:

I did run 700 hp through it at the track with big shots Nitrous.
No problem at all.

I trust it to hold my 900hp runs this season, too (at least for a while :) )

The Tranny seems to be by far the most BATTLE TESTED TRANNY for the A4 out there right now. Mine has held up very well including about 50 blasts down the 1/4 mile, with no problems.

Am hopeful that it will continue to do the job with my new 427 MOTOR which comes home in about 2 to 3 weeks now! When it comes time for upgrades or to be freshened up, CHUCK and FLP are only 40 minutes away from me!:D

Sorry to hear about you selling your BEAST. If $ was so tight, i'm surprised you went as  with the recent radical mods this past year. Hope you get another vehilce you LOVE in the near future and best of luck in selling it for a fair price.

I've got about 5,000 street miles and over 125 dragstrip runs on mine with no problems whatsoever. It has proven to be one of the most productive modifications at the drag strip I have done!

Good luck with that. :) I've only done one or two things in my life that were more rewarding.
