My EBCM doesn't work 90% of the time. For some reason it tends to work during cooler weather. It also tends to work after the car has been sitting for over 2 weeks. Not sure why it's so in and out other than maybe its a ground issue. But my question is not how to fix it but rather if I can just permanently disable it.

Let me tell you guys what happened last weekend. I was just leaving my local Walmart in my 2000 Corvette. I had pulled out of my parking spot and was heading to the main traffic lane so I could exit to the main road. A pickup truck was passing down that main traffic lane as I approached so I started braking with the intent to come to a stop, wait for him to pass by and turn left to follow him out to the main road. Just as I was applying the brake the computer decided to refresh the "SERVICE ABS" warning. The brake pedal pushed back at me and started vibrating. I was on a collision course to T-bone this pickup truck so I pushed as hard as I could on the brake pedal. The warning passed and suddenly the brake responded causing me to screech my brakes and stopping the car just in the nick of time.

I was embarrassed because the screeching brakes and near miss made me look like I was a reckless driver which is clearly not the case. I used to own 1970's cars so I'm ok with not having ABS or traction control. What I'm not ok with is my cars computer causing an accident because it wants to refresh the warning at a time when I need to be using the brake. So my question is this. Is there a fuse I can pull or a cable I can unplug that would permanently disable the EBCM so that the computer will only warn me at initial startup but never refresh again while driving?
