Buying a used C5 part ?

Default Buying a used C5 part ?

How do I check a 2002 Gas pedal assembly, my friend has a 2002 coupe and has been offered a used gas pedal assembly but we don't know how to check it for Ok operation ?

The fastest and easiest way to check it for operation would be to function check it by bolting it in your known good car or another good C5. You will quickly know if it has any obvious problems or is going to throw codes.

The pedal assemblies are generally pretty reliable.

I suppose you could go through all the headache of figuring out what resistance values should be where and when, but I don't have time for all that lol.

There may be better ways to do it @C5 Diag may know but that is how I would go about it.

The APP sensor has 3 potentiometers and if you can get to all 3 of the signal wires with a DVOM you can read the voltages that the PCM would be reading…if you have a good scan tool you can read these voltages as well.
