Default engine shot off while cruising in 5th gear.

Hello everyone, this is my first time here.
last night I was driving my 02 Z06 that I have had for almost a year now. I was in 5th gear and cruising (I was just cruising for the moment though, 99% of the time pushing it hard) and the engine just shot off; no loud noises, didnt feel any hiccups, just functioning like always (perfect in my opinion) and engine just shots off. I still had all my dash lights and everything though all the pointers on every gauge were stuck on random places and didnt move (until I stopped and shot off the car and they went back to shot off position). it still cranks, tried the next day and it does the same thing.

Codes the car shows me in diagnostics mode: (first time ever using this function, didn't even use it when buying the car)
P0342
P0522 (oil pressure sensor has been stuck on max since I bought the car, I should've changed it yes)
P1120, P1220, P1516. (3-4 months ago I checked for codes with Snap-On Zeus scanner and these three were listed as pending codes on there as well, and they did not cause check engine light).
P1637
C1282
B0605
U1160 and a bunch more of these door codes, about 20.

What do you think I should do? or where to start from? Personally, the most worrisome code for me is the Camshaft Position Sensor code (.

Thank you.

I would ask what your abilities are? Are you knowledgeable about electronics and know how to use a DVM? You may have to take to a automotive electrical shop.

P0342 indicates a camshaft position sensor signal problem. It's most likely the sensor, but it could be a wiring issue as well. This code can cause an engine to stall or crank-no start. Ideally, you would scope the sensor for signal, voltage reference, and ground to verify wiring integrity before replacing it.

The good news? It's right beside your defective oil pressure sensor. The bad news? They are both behind the intake manifold, at the back of the engine. I second the previous poster's sentiment; if this is outside of your comfort zone, find a mechanic you trust to do the work.

My favorite part of the story is ...you running the engine hard with no idea what your oil pressure is.

Watch the video...unless you can find a shop that has a scope the best you will do is replace a bunch of parts...car is a C6 but still the same the same troubleshooting.
