vetterdstr.....I've talked to many people I consider "in the know".....Lou himself is racing and winning, David Farmer is doing the same, I have a good friend who gave me "the wink" which is as good a $100 bill....and several other members here, I think you're right, these are gonna be great :D
You will have quite the beast....
:D....with the #s (track and dyno) I'm pulling now, I hope to retain and improve upon the self-proclaimed King of A4 bolt-ons :D
Re: [Headers] I Pulled the Trigger! (Mean Green 2000)
I have a BPP Vortex cold air induction, Bassanti x-pipe and Borla Stingers. I guess if I do anything else Headers make sense. Can I ask what these will set you back and what the install will run w and w/o the dyno action?

I paid retail....I tried to work a deal, trust me :D...I saved a little not going with the cats, but then the x-pipe adds back in $300 and the O2 sensors are another $89 and the "dyno bung" is another $20, and air tube (cause mine's a '00) is $50 :)
As for the install, I've not checked with Mike Norris yet, I just know I want him to do the install :) He's doing one now and I will benefit from learned experience...plus the before and after dynos (with tuning) will be invaluable :D
Re: [Headers] I Pulled the Trigger! (Mean Green 2000)
 Sounds like a sweet setup but it may not do you any good. Rumor has it that Emily is pulling the screen out of her MAF sensor, so I wouldn't be surprised if she can still walk away from you.

:D :lolg: ......they actually have headers now and I can still run within 1/100th of her ;) :D
It may end up being too loud for me, who knows....but I am used to the non-muffled sound of the XR1s as I went all the way to and back from BG without listening to the radio once ;) :D
I'll probably get Lou to do a set of hi-flow cats just in case :)

YOWSA!! :smash:
I thought I read in a thread somewhere that some folks were encountering a strong smell of gasoline with the OR pipes and that it went away when the HF cats were installed. Have you looked into this?
I have a sort of half-azzed mod plan and that's why I went with the Z06 Ti catback; not quite as much flow as, say, Indys but not so loud when the headers go on and maybe a different cam. :)
I have been following the h/c vs tc/gears discussions and you're doing what I think I will end up doing but I do love the sound of a cammy idle!!
Damn you guys!! The car is only seven months old and look what I'm considering doing to it!! ain't it great??

thanks :)...and I have wondered a little bit about going this route and still may go with the hi-flow cats instead of the x-pipe, might talk to Lou again on Monday and see what he says/thinks :)
Re: [Headers] I Pulled the Trigger! (Mean Green 2000)
Mike Norris will be doing the install and we'll be doing same-day pre and post install dyno runs :D (current A4 with intake/exhaust). I can't wait to see what kinda #s we're gonna make and thanks for everything Lou  and NitroSuzie
I cant wait for the results because I too have the 3.15's with Vortex and Borla's :steering:
