Electrical issues with c5, 2000

Electrical issues with c5, 2000
My car wasnt running for some reason, then we had a mechanic friend come and connect some wires to a button and now i press that and turn the key to start the engine. The issue is Im having numerous electrical issues now that mostly point at a bad g201 ground connection ( radio doesnt work, same with dash, HVAC control aka no cold air only hot). Checked the ground, seems fine. Soon, im gonna check all the grounds again, along with all the fuses and etc. If anyone has info i would happily take it.

fair enough, here is what i know. The issue was suspected to be the security system since you would hear the car turn over but the engine wouldn't start. The wires bypass the security feature entirely. 0 codes found so far. Not much more info is known right now, bought the car recently.
Recently replaced starter and checked battery.
