Strange issue with radio cd unit
Hoping someone has experienced this and can guide me.. On my 2000 , as soon as I open my door my radio cd player starts sounding like it's looking for a disc, but to the best of my feeble brain matter i can't remember if there is a disc in there and nothing ejects. After awhile it stops making noise and just shows error. To be repeated every time I open the door. Is it time for a Dukes of Hazard car entrance ??

Those remote CD units are not reliable and can cause all sorts of electrical problems. Mine did, and I removed it, like MANY others. I'd rather stream anyway! I am the original owner!

The OP is referering to his radio/CD head unit, not the remote CD changer in rear compartment.
