Default Rocker arm question

This is my day for tech questions! I just removed my valve covers while performing some other maintenance just to take a look at overall condition under the covers. While checking the rockers, I found multiple rocker arms have a little side to side movement, but do not pivot at all. Is this normal or do the rockers with the sideways movement need to be tightened.

normal. There are no adjustments to make other than changing the pushrod length when doing after market heads, lifters, etc

They should not pivot unless the assembly is rotating. Also, never randomly just tighten a rocker arm bolt on LS heads. There is specific torque spec, and should only be revisited on a closed valve. Very easy to snap those guys!

or pull the threads out. 22 lbs ft is the spec

If you do pull a rocker check the cup that the pushrod inserts into for wear/rough surface or rockers that look off from the others, same for the tip of the push rods.

Keep the rockers and push rods in the order they were removed. If you find a problem, you have a more clear picture of where to go next.

Debris can get stuck in the pushrod, blocking oil, or a low oil pressure situation may limit oil supply resulting in wear.

Thanks for the replies all. From what I see, the rockers are ok. Just wanted to see if I was maybe missing something.
