Default Help - What Is This Engine Wire Connection For?

I was finishing up some work in the engine bay and accidentally broke the green wire off this two-wire connection tab. The wire/clip/tab is located on the passenger side of the engine bay with one side routing through the wiring harness underneath the coolant tank and the other side connecting to the bottom of the engine block (starter?). FYI that this is a Supercharged LS3 and not an LS1 if that makes any difference. I'm also curious if I should replace the entire two-wire tab with something better or stronger and wrap it in some plastic wire loom.

View from passenger front fender:

Broken green wire:

Where wire connects at bottom of engine bay:

Where the other end of the wire routes underneath the coolant tank:

Appreciate any insight or repair/replace suggestions.

That green broken wire, and I assume the other wire is black......looks like the A/C compressor clutch connector......

One wire is green (broken) and the other wire is black and is still connected.

The A/C compressor clutch connector is not the same as a regular clutch correct? It's an A4 trans.

Ok, I feel like your F-ing with me here. Tell you what. Reach down and put your hands on the wire, and see if it leads to to A/C compressor.

Thanks as I think you're correct on the wire. I was just trying to be funny since you mentioned clutch and the car is an automatic and I never knew the AC system had a part called the compressor clutch.

Is the AC Compressor connected to the bottom of the engine where the wire harness connects? Seriously, I've never messed with this before and still learning the re-wiring of the components due to the LS3 drop. I never noticed those two exposed wires/harness when the LS1 was in the car.

I performed some searches and came up with this thread in the C6 section that sounds similar to my issue. My plastic harness did not break at the compressor as in this example, just the green wire in between the plastic tab harness connectors. Seems as if I can unhook the top harness near the coolant tank, I should be able to strip and reconnect the green wire. Again, I never noticed this wire before with the LS1 so I'm wondering if it was routed differently with the LS3 installation? Either way, it was too tight and the wires were exposed and not protected as it didn't take much for the green wire to snap off the harness.

Edit - I was able to open the tab wiring harness and it appears both the black wire and green wire simply pass through the plastic harness. There was some grease inside the plastic harness but the green wire broke right where it came out of the harness. Is it a clamping diode module as both the black wire and green wire have brass connections inside? Thinking best solution would be to replace the entire wiring pigtail instead of trying to repair the green wire with the part below. If this is the correct part, where does the grey connector connect? At the compressor or up underneath the coolant tank? This site offers two different types. One with a built in diode, similar to my existing wire harness, and one that uses a clamping diode module:
