Default Ipc, bcm,dic electrical issues

Okay, been chasing this for a while now. Replace headers not long ago and yes, I reattached and checked all the grounds (9)and resurfaced everything. DIC is not functioning except for security light. When lights are turned on dash lights function. None of the windows will operate. Windshield wipers won't work and courtesy lights on mirror do not come on.. I have replaced the ignition switch. I have taken the grounds and clean them in the engine compartment at the rear of the car and under the driver's footwell. I took everything apart, cleaned everything, treated it with dialectic grease and put it back with a brand new bolt. Nothing. Yes I took rubber out at door and there are no plug connections like I see on other posts. Put a camera in there to double check as well. Bought an Autel MK808S, cleared every DTC code. Reran diagnostic. In the hot function I can make the windows operate. As far as the instrument cluster, all I get is cannot communicate... any ideas anyone? There are zero codes coming up on the vehicle. Pulled the BCM and it's immaculate. Looks like new inside and out. Checked every fuse. If it was the IPC that would have nothing to do with windows, wipers and other functions. Im stumped.

If the windows work using “output” controls then you have an “input” problem like the switch…look at live data for the windows and see if activating the switch causes the data PID to change…as far as a “no comm” with the IPC you should be checking its powers and grounds…as a new member you should let us know your model year as a minimum…you can’t diagnose by “looking” at it…you have to test…if you’re not familiar with electrical testing find an auto electrical specialist…if I knew the year of your car I could look at the power and ground distribution diagram.

Year is 2002. I have replaced all switches as they were all cracked up. No horn, no wipers, no windows, door locks work. I went ahead last night and replaced all fuses related to DIC, IPC,BCM

Do you have a 12 volt test light and a DMM and know how to use them ??…I’m assuming if you replaced fuses they were blown ????…what is your knowledge of electrical systems on a scale of 1 to 10 ??

7 out of 10. Yes I have test light and Autel diagnostic computer. I replaced the fuses just because.

First thing any DTC’s stored ??…the horn power comes directly from the battery so remove the horn relay and with your test light connected to ground see if 2 of the 4 terminals illuminate the test light…they are “hot at all times”…if your Autel is bidirectional did you go to “outputs” and see if it blows and if you can communicate with all modules ??…as far as the windows with your test light connected to a good ground like the door hinge bolt (and always check that your test light works before testing) see if the test light illuminates on both test points on fuses 33,34,30 and 31….as far as your wipers see if fuse 10 (WSW) illuminates on both test points with the test light…also check fuse 9 (BCM A) as that is on the same circuit as the wipers…those 2 circuits are powered through the brown wire of the ignition switch which you changed and key must be ON to check…did you check that the ignition switch was good ??…you need to do a voltage drop check from battery positive to any fuse on those power wires from the ignition switch…there is a pink, brown, yellow and orange which feeds various circuits…are you using a wiring diagram or just winging it ???…I don’t see a common thread between all those ignition circuits…you should know how to do a voltage drop check to tell if your ignition switch is good with little resistance…you can get a 1 month subscription to Alldata DIY for $19.99 and has all OEM and aftermarket (Mitchell) color wiring schematics.

Well picked up a used BCM programmed/learned and that wasn't it. I also just found that with everything else that won't function the ac will not come on. Light turns on for a few seconds then goes back off. SMH. Too many things not working

I’d find an automotive electrical specialist and take the car there.

So you were given a lot of specific advice in post #8 to which you provide no feedback, and you just shotgun a BCM ?
