Default GM Bra Installation problem

trying to understand the pix and installation instructions, which are real vague. I removed the screw around the front fender but the replacement is a machine screw and a plastic part, with the machine threads. I took out a sheet metal screw. Don't know or understand how to make it work. Anyone else do this install? Do I need 7 snap tabs with sheet metal screws? I have 3 with sheet metal and 4 with machine threads and plastic inserts. Help !please! I also don't understand how the top tab on the fender is supposed to be installed. I guess that I need to see someone else's installation! Is the 2003 GM bra different than the 1998 version, which is what I am trying to install it on?

Here are some better instructions: http://www.corvetteforum.cc/techtips...D=32&TopicID=1
Hope it helps more. I understand it is very easy to drop pieces (spring clip) inside the fender which will be hard to get back out. Many people do not use the supplied wheel well screws. Instead they get marine snaps (sheet metal screws with a snap at the end & a phillips head inside the snap for screwing in). I bought some at a local hardware store for $0.80 each. If you want to go that route and can't find them local then let me know & I'll get some for you. BTW, don't waste your time trying Home Depot, they don't have them.

I disagree, I made my own marine snaps from getting all the pieces from Home Depot. I used .75 inch philips screw with the snap works great.

Making them is pretty ingenious. I didn't think of that.
