Heater Core replacement
Hey everyone it looks like I am going to have to replace my heater core in my 03 z06. I have been getting an antifreeze smell when running the vents and the windshield keeps getting the glaze on it. The same glaze my Miata got when it killed its heater core. I know the whole dash has to come out as well as the intake manifold. I plan on doing a pressure test on the heater core lines before I rip it all apart. I want to confirm its not a line somewhere. I might also dye the system to see if its coming out of the drain.
Can the heater box come out without the evaporator core? I just fixed the AC in the spring but I have a shop who could discharge the system and charge it back when I am done.
Any tips for this job.
