My car has had the traction control,abs lights on the dash for a year or so . Always been able the clear the scroll and get to my temp gauges trans temp mainly, but now I can’t get to the gauges , will not stop scrolling to get to the point to pull codes . Any ideas ? TIA

100% On the mark. At this point, the button set probably needs to be replaced. That being said, I would remove it and try to take the button module apart and see if you can find the reason that the buttons are not returning to the unpressed position. Before you remove half the dash to get the instrument cluster out, try this:
Have you tried to repeatedly press and release the buttons to try to get the stuck button to release.
Maybe the rubber on the button/s is sticking to the switch face. Try putting a very small drop of very light lubricant or WD-40 on the rubber part of the button and work the buttons to see it that releases the stuck button/s DO NOT use a lot. Just a very small amount on each rubber button.
