It’s sad that some people can’t read.I clearly stated I was working on my C5 power antenna but it seems some people can’t comprehend or understand a simple question that I was trying to get a response from.

Because you could not possibly have made a typo, and given your profile only listed a C6. The audacity of people seeking clarification.
I've found it's most effective to gripe about the responses I get when seeking assistance. The sub-standard posters typically shut right up and the good ones leap forth to assist.
I am 72 years old and have owned every series Corvette ever made.If someone here has a question about a repair or a problem or a part I would be glad to answer them or help them anyway I can.But if I can’t ask a question myself without some smart *** making some remark I don’t need this forum.
As a forum member trying to be helpful - I would suggest asking the fine people at Crutchfield.com. They know a lot about car audio and sell some good aftermarket antennas.
I've been buying from Crutchfield for 50 years. They are an excellent source of info......On the merchandise they sell. I don't know if they can help much on C5 OEM stuff, or not. But it can't hurt to call and ask. If they can't help, and you want to keep your OEM antenna, if it's the antenna that's bad, try calling Marc Rose at Vettenuts. Great customer service and has a huge supply of good used C5 stuff, or also try C&S Corvettes for good used stuff
C&S phone# is: 1 (800) 533-4650. Ask for Lyle.
Vettenuts # is: 1 (615) 542-9023. Ask for Marc.
Hope this helps you out......
@2004avalanche Have you moved forward on your power antenna issue? You got what I thought was some positive advice. Did you try Crutchfield? Just asking. We like to know if any of the advice helped, whether or not you fixed your power antenna, and if so, how?...
It sounds like the strap is broken. There's a place online that sells just the strap with the antenna mass. I forgot the name of the place. It would have to be an OEM unit for it to work
I was lucky enough to find a new old stock item on the auction site, and I paid about $200.00 for it, but I have no regrets.
i hated the power antenna on my C5, it was bent (guessing former owner ran it through a car wash with the antenna up) and it never went up and down properly. replaced the power antenna with a fixed stubby and really like that option.

Can't imagine why you'd need help here...after all, you've owned every series Corvette made!
