I have noticed lately that if my 2000 sits a week or so it has to crank more than normal to start. After running it starts normal. Could this be a fuel pump losing prime! Any help would be appreciated.

If you hear it prime for 2sec ( a buzz noise ) its priming as far as pumping to right psi, i believe between 55 and 60 you have to put a psi gage at the end of the fuel rail driver side front.
If its cranking slow that can be your problem also from sitting so make sure that battery is fullu charged 12.5 min.
Yes, could be a priming issue id it is just having to crank longer to catch.
If that is the case, try turning key on and let it sit for 30 seconds before cranking.

Only way to check is hook a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and see if the pressure drops when you turn the key off…see what happens if you turn the key on and off a few times and see if the car starts immediately.
To the OP, before turning the key to start the car, turn the key off and repeat the turn on sequence. This will help build up fuel pressure and the car will start quickly. You probably do have some fuel pressure loss after extended periods of not using the car.
