First advice - do not go to HIDs. If you think it looks bouncy NOW.... whoah.... it would be wicked with those.
There are stops on the bucket frames in the car which can be replaced over time from wear and sag. The rotating arm can flop around and you can add a bushing to lock it up tighter. If you get really creative you can also firm up the arm which connects to the top front of the bucket to reduce lateral wobble. The whole thing is a pain but worth it after so many years. I'd start with the support caps.
Tusc thanks for ur quick reply. I "have not" replaced any of stock bulbs yet. I "have replaced the Nylon stops" on both headlight assy. there were extra stops on each of the headlight metal tabs but I ordered extra. Upon on further inspection when headlight assembly is in up position taking my hand and lifting up & down on headlight I noticed the silver long silver round pin/rod that has the push on locking cap to keep the pin/rod in place, it has slop where it slides thru the mounting holes, all this is going on, on the passenger side headlight assembly. Also swapped pins/rod w/no fix of bouncy headlight assembly on passenger side light. WITH SWAPING OF PINS TO THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHT, "NO" BOUNCE. As of today I will do more inspecting. If u have any more input on this prob., feel free to jump in. THANKS A MIL.
Nothing more to add really. They were never wicked solid pieces but with a lot of work we can take a lot of the slop out. It does make a huge difference in the end.
