Hello all I’m kinda new to the corvette space I have a c5 thats having issues staying running, the car idles for about 10 seconds at start up then dies. I have a p0103 code and that’s about it, it has a stage 2 cam, headers and a catch cam, I believe it’s on a speed density system ( not sure if it was tuned or not for that ) got the car already modified just trying to get it back up and running everything else seems to be ok just AFR issue seemingly, pretty lost as to what’s the route cause of the issue probably need a professional to check it out I think. If anyone knows a good mechanic who works on corvettes in the Los Angeles area please let me know, I don’t think my regular mechanic will know what to check for on a modded c5 lol thanks in advance. Looks like the catch can was not properly installed but I don’t know how to put it back together. If you think you can diagnose / maybe guide me in the right direction please contact me
. I have $ just need the resources for someone to look at it and / or fix it

If the car is speed density tuned you will always see a P0103…you need to find a diagnostician as “mechanics” only remove and replace parts…did this DTC just appear or was it set if you just purchased the car ??…most Corvette “specialists” are mechanics who only change Corvette parts.
I see, yeah the code was there from when I purchased the vehicle, and I know I just feel like a corvette specialist would be more familiar with these performance modifications ( speed density etc ) seems like something minor but I just can’t figure it out, ( I’m not super mechanically inclined historically) any ideas ? It could need a tune, it could be a vacuum leak, I kinda gave it up and just want a professional to review but I can’t seem to find anyone who wants to help

A good time to reevaluate your choices. You would have been better served purchasing a stock C5 with no modifications given your limited understanding, expertise, and capability. Now you have a platform that can be finicky, especially when modified by youtube mechanics, and in desperate need of TLC. If you have plenty of $$ to spend, no big deal. If you don't, a 25 year old modified car is not the best choice for a novice. I wish you luck with your issues.
