I have a 2004 that is starting to look like I may need a new BCM. Is it better to replace the BCM and have it mapped, or send it off to have it rebuilt? Are there any recommended vendors for getting one or having one rebuilt?

I think there are a few places that repair BCMs, can't name one. I would not mess with it or go through the hassle. I would just get one from a recycler and then have someone set it up with a tech2. Some recyclers will set up the RPOs for you before shipping, then all you have to do is the key learn procedure.
I assume you have gone through the service manual troubleshooting steps to positively diagnose down to a BCM........
Get it properly diagnosed before you throw the parts cannon. I see your from Myrtle Beach, SC. I’m from northern IL, sorry, no recommendations. Isn’t east coast supercharging close by, maybe they can help you out?

Why do you "think" you may need a new BCM ??...better to have it diagnosed by a professional before wasting your money !!
