I say port the heads and keep the stock valve sizes. Have a nice porting job done, maybe a valve job as well. Add 1.8 roller rockers and you will gain a healthy chunk of hp and torque, Guaranteed. I say keep the stock gears unless you are a hardcore guy who wants every last tenth in the quarter. If you do the heads and rockers you may want to upgrade to slightly better valve springs. This way when you tune the car you could increase the redline and the shiftpoints to take advantage of the new power.
