What is this part? I have a 1998 and there is a small line going from this to the air intake which plugs in right before the accordion part.

I thought that was a pulse damper, and the regulator was built in to the fuel filter?

97-98 - That part is the fuel pressure regulator, and the filter is separate.

99-2003.5 - That part is the fuel pulse damper, and the filter/regulator is one assembly mounted to the frame.

2003.5-2004 - That part is the fuel pulse damper, and the filter/regulator is in the tank.
