Default Acc power in fuse box

I am trying to install a new head unit and speakers in my 2002 C5, and online info is a bit of a minefield as it's mostly contradictory, and I'm a total, complete beginner.

What I seem to have gatheres is that to get ACC power to my new head unit, on a 2002 C5 I can just use an "Add a line/Add a fuse" connector, pop it into fuse #22, and connect my HU to the Add a line connector, is that correct? Unlike in a 2004, where that's ON power...

I also seem to understand that if you have a CD changer in the back, fuse #22 is what powers it, but I don't care about having a working CD changer. Can I just unplug it from fuse #22 and be done with it, plugging my new HU to that fuse instead, or is there more I need to make sure of (i.e. other CD changer wires I need to make sure are dealt with)?
